    Mary Kathryn Brennan is an attorney specializing in elder law with the Law Office of Smilie G. Rogers, PLLC.  She is a graduate of York High School, Colby College and the University of Maine School of Law. Ms. Brennan joined the Law Office of Smilie G. Rogers, PLLC after she left Maine Legal Services for the Elderly, Inc. (LSE), where she began her legal career in 2006, starting as a law clerk in the Medicare Part D Unit, and moving on to a position as a staff attorney from October 2006 through December 2011. During her time with LSE, she represented elders in a variety of matters before Maine Superior, District and Probate courts; the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Medicare Hearings. Ms. Brennan has a specialized knowledge about the medical and financial eligibility requirements for state and federally funded long-term care options available in Maine in institutional settings and home care settings. She is a member of the Southern Maine Area Agency on Aging Caregiver Support Program Advisory Committee, the York County Elder Abuse Task Force, the United Way of York County Community Review Team and the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association.
